Parents & Families
Selecting a study abroad program is a big task. We recognize that families play a crucial role in helping students make this important choice and provide vital support throughout their journey. That's why we've created our Parents & Families page, specifically designed to inform and empower families. This page offers key insights into our programs and explains how families can actively support their student’s experience. By encouraging open dialogue and mutual understanding, families can help students make informed decisions that lead to a fulfilling and transformative international experience.
The CCSA Difference
The Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA) was established to provide college students with enriching study-abroad experiences in English-speaking countries. Tailored for first-time study abroad participants, our programs are crafted to ensure a smooth and supportive transition. With over 40 years of experience facilitating international education, CCSA is uniquely equipped to offer supportive, diverse, and academically rigorous programs.

Health & Safety
CCSA programs are thoughtfully designed with comprehensive resources and assistance throughout the experience:
-
Students are provided thorough orientation before departure and on-site, giving them tools for navigating their new location and maximizing their safety.
-
On-site Program Directors are available 24/7 during the program to provide guidance and support.
-
Group travel options include round-trip flights from select U.S. cities, with CCSA faculty or staff accompanying students through the international travel process from most locations.
-
Small student-to-faculty/staff ratios ensure personalized attention and a more enriching experience.
-
Comprehensive health and emergency evacuation insurance are included in the program fee, giving students peace of mind.
-
A dedicated U.S.-based support team is available through the CCSA Central Office to assist with every step—planning, preparation, participation, and return.
-
All CCSA destinations are vetted by professional education abroad professionals who also keep up with current events and security information related to those sites.
