Ireland is a country where history, culture, and tradition are woven into everyday life. From ancient ruins and medieval streets to lively pubs filled with music and storytelling, every place has a story to tell. Through immersive, place-based learning, you'll experience Ireland not simply as a destination, but as a living classroom where academic concepts come to life.

Based in Dublin and Galway, you'll explore course themes through site visits, guided excursions, field experiences, and meaningful interactions with local communities. Whether you're examining business and branding, tracing the roots of Irish identity, or observing the country's legal system in action, you'll gain a deeper understanding of Ireland by engaging directly with its people, places, and traditions.

Outside of scheduled program activities, you'll have time to explore on your own, whether that means wandering Dublin's historic streets, enjoying traditional music in Galway, visiting museums and local markets, or relaxing in a neighborhood café.
Students also have the option to extend their international experience by combining this program with a CCSA Maymester in Ireland and receive a $1,000 program discount.
Dublin's Four Courts: A Legal Legacy
The law comes to life when you experience it where history was made.
Step inside Ireland's legal system as you observe civil and criminal proceedings at Dublin's Four Courts and discover how centuries of Irish law continue to influence legal traditions around the world. Visits to Kilmainham Gaol, the former Houses of Parliament, Glasnevin Cemetery, Trinity College, and Galway provide historical and cultural context while conversations with legal professionals and volunteers offer firsthand perspectives on justice in practice. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the Irish legal tradition and its lasting influence on modern law, including the legal foundations shared with the United States.

Discover how storytelling has shaped Irish identity across centuries of history, resilience, and cultural change. Through visits to sites such as Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the National Museum, and communities throughout the Irish countryside, you'll explore how collective memory is preserved in places, traditions, music, and everyday life. Along the way, you'll examine how cultures construct, protect, and sometimes commercialize their identities while gaining a deeper understanding of the powerful role stories play in shaping both nations and the people who call them home.
